The South Florida Jeep Club Web site and news

Thanks everyone. It really isn't work for me... as long as I can get some humor out of it I'm happy.

The news could take a quantum leap forward if I got regular articles to post. You don't have to be a writer, or a photographer (as you can see, I am not)

Just about anything that the group would be interested in is ok.
Interesting news... your family, outings you've been on, products you want to tell everyone about... businesses you would recommend. The sky is the limit. (no pun intended)...

If you send an article written by someone else that is ok as long as we can give the writer the credit and reference the publication.

Send pictures, if they are too large I'll shrink 'em. Send money..no, no money but remember if we put a business ad on our site it is because we believe in them and would recommend them. No money involved.

I may edit and publish the newsletter...but it is not MY newsletter, it is OUR newsletter. From us, about us, and for us as a club. I won't include anything in the newsletter under OUR name if I think it is not appropriate or our president or any club member thinks it is not appropriate. If I ever post somethng questionable, write me, or call me.

Well, I've rambled enough for now.... keep them cards and letters coming.

Leo,
Yer welcome, sir.

There is actually no limit on what we can do with our pages.... any suggestions???

A few ideas I've packed away for future use:

1. A listing of off-road areas complete with member stories and ratings
2. A better 'for-sale' area on our pages
3. re-do the vendor pages
4. wheeling stories
5. Product reviews
6. A trip blog... to be used while on a wheeling trip to log in days activities for those not lucky enough to be on the trip. (wi-fi access must jump a notch before we could do that from Tellico)...
7. A member listing that included pictures...
8. and for each member to design and have their very own page

hmmm,

GREAT JOB on the cruise pictures and story. Bet those of you that didnt go wish you had now. Couple of points"
1. Maria was from CROATIA
2. You guys should have seen that show girl in the pic with me ON THE NUDE DECK. Fantastic.
That cruise was one of my best vacations ever, good friends, lots of not so good food till we learned we could order Filet Mignon every nite, wonderful bloody mary's (I'm the proof of that), lousy coffee, good shows, two out of three great ports of call, fantastic weather and lots of cigars. What more could one ask for. One note of warning, never ever compete with HOWARD in a food eating contest. He's the CHAMP.
Well, thats it for now, gonna go look for Joe at that place with no bathing suit tops he is hiding at. john

With ALL that stuff on your mind, I'm sure it was just a matter of HABIT, but let me politely remind you......that PJC was changed to South Florida Jeep Club.

Keep up the good work with the website!

Thanks Marty,
That quote was from a post March 10, 2005.... we were PJC then. I've changed a few references to the old site but can't get to them all.

Thanks everyone for the kind words.
So far, Dan, Bill, Jim, Tim and Alberto are just about the only members to submit an article for the newsletter since May 2004 (yes, that is 2 years ago). I guess, what that means is unless I'm there, very little or nothing gets published. That is not the best situation for the club. I'm missing a lot of local wheeling and other activities.
If you do anything you'd like to see in the news, just send me a quick email and we can get it in the newsletter. It doesn't have to have pictures. It doesn't have to be perfect English (just look at my butcher job of English) haha
The main thing is get it to me. I cannot continue to plagerize on JeepTalk.
