I want to get a .22lr (BOLT ACTION!!!) for about the same price as a ruger 10/22, but I am unable to find one. I want to go to the range more often, and not have to pay $50.00 to shoot 5.56, or .308 . I can get 500 rounds of .22lr for about $15.00, and it costs about 12.00 for a box of 20 for 5.56. I do like the 10/22, but I perfer bolt action, it would be nice to have a brand name rifle IE ruger, but if you guys know about any others please let me know.
