TJ 3 Speed Auto (30RH) Breather

I found this on the net & wanted to document it for now until I do mine so the pics won't be lost. I would not use this clear line, it won't last.

Seal the 90* copper @ both ends & from what I've read all U have to do is push it in the breather hole.

What U needed:
1/4" 90 degree hydraulic fitting.
1/4" copper hose
1/4" Inside diameter air hose for breather
JB weld
Drill

An answer to the venting on a torque flight transmission.
904, 999, 727, 518, 618, 42rh, 42re, 46rh, 46re, 47re, or whatever else you want to call this magnificent transmission it had its debut in 1962, as a two cable operated three speed transmission, an has survived ever since

above pic: you want the vent forward of the parking gear and

above pic: hole drilled on angle away from center on left side (shaft rotation in forward is counter clockwise ) you do not want the fluid to be directed to the vent

now that is the fix and no jb weld.
