Does anyone know of anybody who makes bumpers around here. Peach is getting picky (well she's just old school & likes her Jeep the way it is, I'm practically twisting her arm for a her to get a 2" lift, told her the springs are worn out & they are after 20 yrs.) & she likes the Wilderness bumpers but she doesn't like how most of them have the upward angle on the ends. Actually she likes the stock bumpers that came w/the CJ & just wants to put D-ring on it. She's like me & in the old day's the reason for the tow hook(s) was because no one came up w/the idea of the D-ring slot/modification etc.. Now that I have gotten her past that point I am looking for something more boxy looking & I would need a rear bumper made also.

P.S. This will drive U wacko, she does like the Fab Tech tubular bumper (the blue one in the 4WDH catalog) but it doesn't fit the CJ.

That is a very nice detail post. Maybe you should contact the Jeeper and have him post it up under our Tips & Tricks.

With so many manufacturers now selling these bumpers, have you compared the pricing vs doing it yourself, is it worth the time :2thumup:

No I haven't compaired prices but this guy haas $250.00 into his bumper & said he would sell'em for about $400.00. I wouldn't buy one from him for two reasons, all though it does look good.

1. Not rated for towing w/the reese hitch attachment & others I can buy off the shelf are.

2. By the time I buy one off the shelf it is chaeper than his.

His bumpers look good don't get me wrong, but when U weigh the situation out, he looses, IMO.

Peach just doesn't like how the ends come/tapered up, she's an old school Jeeper girl who has to get into the 21st century, but married to me it just might not happen when I comes to Jeeps.
