Air Vent for the cooling system.

When replacing your thermostat for your cooling system, drill a 1/8" hole @ the top or where the top would be upon install of the thermostat, this will help aid in getting air out of the system quicker upon refill so you don't have to wait for the t-stat to open. :sneak:

I found the info on another board, but it's still a good tip. Some of the new cars/trucks don't have the old type filler neck & you have to bleed the system, this will aide in that process.

I just went and did the candy thermometer boiling test for my old Rshaw 180* and it popped open no where near there so, not really a biggie cause it did not show on the temp guage, but my A/F guage showed me weird things so I checked everything...
Well the new, only one in stock at discount, 195* popped open at 185* so I am happy, but it had no "weep" hole, yer sayin it is fine to drill one, I tended to agree and thought the idea was sound but did not drill at install, and recently got a new 180* that did not come with the hole and I really wanted to drill one.... Thank you for reinforcing this logic :question:

I actually saw an article in Jp magazine last year sometime about that...Never got around to doing it even though i couldve 2 days ago when my engine was out.
