I had Ruben install my new Atlas II 4.3 and add a custom crossmember to my Rubicon Express Long arm Skid plate. This way I could remove the skid plate to work on the jeep and there is no need to support the tranny and t/ case with a jack or strap.
here Ruben is taking measurements to build the crossmember
The the crossmember is placed under the skid plate to make sure it all lines up
The cross member is then placed in the mill to be cut
stay tuned for more

Way to go Lee.
I'm actually toying with idea of a custom crossmember because my middle plate is a pita everytime I take it down. Maybe even before I install my 2 year old tube fenders.
Nice pics and set up on the album.

Archi,
jeeping is never cheap especially custom work as we all know. but it is well worth it in the long run.
Jim,
thanks for the help on the web site. maybe we'll do your fenders after superlift before windrock.
