I left Fri at noon to go and pick up the CJ3A in FL... a little over 500 miles and i showed up, of course it was dark so no pics of the loading on trailer... dead battery, so we pulled it up with his 4 wheeler... the next morning i met my Mom at the I-75 and Ocala exit (she is visiting for a week) drove up and after over 1000 miles in 2 days the CJ3A is Home...

That looks like a good solid project vehicle. And you've still got the flat head four to boot! Every -3A I find has a makeshift hood scoop to allow the hood to close on an improper overhead valve engine that went into it after the original Go-Devil four gave up. I especially like the side steps; perhaps somebody fell into a drain after the cover was stolen to supply the stock for those steps. :2thumup:

It even looks like you've got the proper tailgate and not some later model's gate that fit after the original rusted away. Nice find.

Hey Frank,

I really like your new gas tank setup. :2thumup:

Glad you are keeping her a stocker. Keep us updated on her projects. You should have taken pics of the down hill with no brakes... :2thumup:

Btw, do me a favor, next time you are going to take a pic of this beauty from the front don't get in front and ruin the picture. Your slacking as I don't see a Bud in the pic anywhere while you were working on her. :ranting:

Hey Frank,

That looks like a Sprite to me. :obsessed:

Btw, I've always enjoyed the Willys marking on the hood of the civilian Jeeps. :1thumb: :amazed:

Frank that is bad dude! looks to be in pretty good overall condition considering it runs and how old it is! Paint job looks sharp on it too. Nice color. You gonna just keep it around town once you get the tank and brakes done amongst other things?
