Ya know..... That's the weird part.... Cingular Wireless bought AT&T wireless, NOW AT&T is buying the mother company of Bellsouth Landline and Wireless and turning everything to AT&T. There will no longer be a Bellsouth...

They didn't even tell their employees till the day it dropped to the news. But the good part is that Cingular side of the company has already gone through all the layoffs and re-orgs so no changes will be done on the wireless side. All the wireline side will be re-org'd.

The guy at Cingular told me that they did it that way to avoid becoming a monopoly. Cingular will still be the parent company, however, they will be incorporating the AT&T name. It's some weird bureaucratic B.S. that I could really care less about!! :gossip:

I wanted to let everyone know that My Nextel is no longer in service. I still have a cell phone and that number can be found on our club roster.

The company I work for decided not to have company phones anymore but they are going to reimburse us for the use of our own phones so its not so bad of a deal

:drive: Cingular does rock - I have a black Razor - get the MOTOrola bluetooth ear piece - and you may want to buy a protective clear cover, available at the Festival Flea market on Sample. If you enter via the valet parking area it's vendor right across from the verizon guys. They also have a cool carrier for the phone that includes an area for your DL two Credit cards and cash. :usjeep:

I've had Sprint for about the same amount of time and have had very few problems. Their coverage gets better each year as more antennas are added to the system.
