The october-november issue of Jp magazine clarified that the "Brute" was actually not a concept of Chrysler but it was made by American Expedition Vehicles. Ok ok, i felt dumb when i first believed that it was going to be a concept a few months ago when i saw an earlier photo that had the company name window banner. Anyone agree that this is one of the cooler fabrications done to a rubicon? Be sure to check out their 104" and 112" LWB Wranglers! WEBSITE-www.aev-conversions.com

Although the one that you have pics of is not the prototype, there was one in the works for a while. It has been cancelled for now. Mountain Man would know more than me.
Ian Stewart

If you don't fight for the trails, there won't be any trails to fight for.

What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.
Zig Ziglar

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling that thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." ....

Yesterday, I was at a DaimlerChrysler meeting in Orlando
and saw some of the
NEW vehicles to be introduced in the near future.

I saw the LONGER Jeep Wrangler....which they are calling the
"UNLIMITED"...it has a 10 inch longer wheelbase, and is 13 inches
longer than the present Wrangler.....and, yes, the regular Wrangler
will still be available.

They have NOT cancelled the TJ-Scrambler/BRUTE vehicle..........but
did NOT give us a date as to when it would be available. They
MAY change their minds....but at the moment, it is a GO!

Saw the new 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Independent Front
Suspension, and the REFRESHED Jeep Liberty Renegade.....and
we were told that DIESEL Jeep Liberty with 5 cylinder engine is
on the way....with a NEW, cleaner diesel engine.

NICE!!! im not a huge fan of independent suspension. My mom used to have a 2000 range rover and i used to go to the land rover rallies in Hobe Sound. The straight axles with the air suspension had incredible articulation and didnt get stuck easy with 4 corner electronic limited slip. i also tested the 2003 range rover. The new independent suspension was better on road and it had the crossover air system to refill the non compressed "bag." Overall i liked the older models. It will be interesting how the grand cherokee independent suspension will work. That's also good to hear about the unlimited wrangler. Keep us posted.

FORGOT to mention this.....BUT, they said that they are
also planning a RUBICON model of both the longer UNLIMITED
and the TJ-long (SCRAMBLER).

Will keep you updated!

That would me nice. So i wonder if these new models are going to eventually put companies like AEV out of buisness. Or maybe they've got some kind of deal running? I have no clue.

I am sure that AEV and companies like them will stay ahead of the curve. Afterall, they have already produced the Brute and are taking orders while Jeep is still in the planning stage and may never actually get around to producing something like the Brute. If they do, I am sure that AEV will take it to the next level. For that matter, the Brute may already be the next level. I can't imaging Jeep putting out a vehicle like the Brute as a stock configuration.

Yea, the Brute is definatly decked out. I was looking on their website back when i got these pictures and the prices were crazy for some of the Wranglers. For example, one of the extended wheel base wranglers was selling for an ok 40,000 which is still a lot of money but it was bought new and had a few upgrades like beadlocks and other stuff which came out to be around 60,000. Now thats too much but hey, if thats what people want to spend 60,000...thats cool with me. Plus for 60,000 and with the most outrageous offroad vehicle, your still just entering the hummer to land rover range rover price range. Good stuff.
