Jim, did you notice the suicide doors on CJ5's Jeep? This looks like a home-made top.

Good eye Jack, nice to see somebody notices the details.
No, it isn't a home made top, though I did spin the hinges around myself.
I thought it would be easier to climb onto the hood when I was stuck in the mud.
That top is actually a factory made top from a 1975 or older. Notice the angle of the windshield....WAAAAY too straight up and down to be a '76 or newer.
Jim, I'lll be takng the 5 for a boot tomorrow. It has been so cold that I have been drivin the Rubicon almost every day, but it is supposed to be warm so I'll get that pic for you then.

Thats a cool idea. How much trouble was it to reverse the hinges and latch?

Well, I had to make all the hardware..... I have to say that I am a fairly experienced fabber, and in saying that, It was enough agrivation that I'd probably not do it again. Believe me, It was 20-25 hours of labour to make it work, and even now, I want to tweek it a little....
I also put hinges in between the body and front fenders, so that I can open them up for easier engine maintainence.......

Take lots of pics......
The most agrivating part of this restoration was having to cut the oval hole in the body (after painting) for the TJ filler spout and cap.
