WWII Slang.



Pineapple : Slang for hand grenade.

Jerry-Built: Any device, machine, or structure put together haphazardly from junk or spare parts

Shave tail: A brand new 2nd LT. Came from the days of mule skinners in the Army. A brand new untrained mule was a dangerous and unpredictable creature so they shaved the tail to identify it.
