its a great shot!!!! but i wonder, whats in that whoops section? did he make it? :sneak:
and are they implying your jeep is beating hummers? and is that a mention of a long running post we had here about synthetic rope?? probly not, but if so... thats 3 or 4 references concerning you on the cover! thats a record!

The art director who put the pic together really did an excellent job. Just goes to show you that some of these pics that you see in other magazines could be done up a bit to create impact, curiosity, which in turn creates sales.
Below is the real picture. This is the last obstacle in Upper Helldorado in Moab. There is no other way out. Everyone hooks a winch line (we hooked two for safety). With regards to the H2s, I don't thing there are any that will survive or even get to that point on the trail. :sneak: Ref the synthetic rope, nothing to do with our prior discussion. Our discussion thread did have all these pics in it though.
Depending on how the camera angle takes the pic, the impact can change tremendously. A good art director with excellent tools and talent can pretty much do anything (hence the above JP pic). Have you ever looked at a pretty model in a magazine and then see her in real life... You will notice that this pic was turned a bit and the winch line was removed.
I still think that the real pic looks pretty wicked. Below are all real pics to show the topography of this obstacle. Read note below this pic.
Even though the above pic is the real shot taken by my wife, it does not show the true angle which is actually steeper. The next two pictues do show the correct angle.
Here is what the waterfall looks like from the top.
I don't think there is any way to cheat gravity. If there is, I would like to know about it.
