I tried to use C clip tool (3 in 1 service) to press ball joints lower and upper but it wont do anything so is it ok/safe to have press machine to press lower/upper ball joints in ?
My friends shop has 50 tons press machine :amazed:

Thanks!

Yeow,

What I have found out is that sometimes the wrong adapters can really make things very hard in removing ball joints. Your 3 and 1 tool might not have the right spacers.

Soak around the ball joint with some type of loosening spray. Get your old trusty hammer out and hit the knuckle around where the ball joint is installed. Install your C clamp with the closest adapter or spacer you can find and crank on it. Beat the knuckle with the hammer in hopes that it will start to pop out as you apply the pressure. This has always worked for me. The bigger press will definitely help but will you be able to get the whole knuckle assembly inside to do this?

Can anyone else give a different point of view on this?
