I dont have this Jeep so I can post much but there is a hourglass plastic peace in the air box hose that if you take it out it gives you 10 HP. PM and I can walk you through it. It takes about 5 minutes and a flat head screw driver.

It also adds two to three MPG.

I don't have my air box any longer with the 6cyl but I have a question... is this plastic piece inside the airbox only for the 4cyl or can anyone else confirm if it's on the 6cyl, or for that matter in any of the other models :balloon:

As far as I know it is only on the 4. It was used on the 4 so that it would not have the HP the Cherokee had.

Hum, I removed one from a 6 banger, it was in front of the box in the tube like a sleve or something, it's been a while.

No, but I removed the outside thingy too. Remove the hose going out of the box to the TB, it is in the end of the hose. And the Cherokee 6 banger has one.

yes i have a 94 cherokee sport with the 4.0 inline 6 , and it did have it in the front of the air box..
to see if you have one remove the hose at the box , it is an incert that goes in the box.. just pull it out, its held in by two rubber o-ring but slides easy.. :sword:
