My ABS came on some time ago and I read the code and it was the ABS pump so I picked one up at the U pick and now the light is still one and I was told I need to have a special scan tool to prime the pump. Is this true and do you know who has a scan tool that can do this?

Did you ever locate a scan tool, did the pump need prime?

I have a friend that might have the same issue and don't know what to tell him since I never ran across this.

Hey jim. No I did not need the scan tool. I made a pressure brake cap. I bought a second brake fluid cap I drilled it and put a valve stem on it and put 15 lbs of air pressure and bleed my brake's that way. If you friend needs help have him contact me I can help him out.

Many thanks, I'll let him know and pass on the info.

I have to say that your workaround was mighty fine ingenuity on your part. :ya:
