I replace my wife's radiator w/a 3 core (she had a two core original) & after doing the timing chain I noticed (U have to remove the radiator to do the chain) the bottom of the new rad had been rubing on something & if it wasn't taken care of it would rub a hole in the bottom of the radiator. The rubbing came from the new rad sitting on top of the steering box hard lines that go into the box. & cut a two inch piece of heater hose & slid it betwen the two.

So check your's so U won't be left high & dry :sneak: .

Rollbar,

Did you notice any difference in temperature or performance between the 2 & the 3 core :gossip: Would you do it again if you had to :drive: I'm still running with the stock two core & never had a problem.

Yes, I noticed a big difference, I can let it idle all day long & it will not get hot even with a/c.

I had a 180* stat in it & the heater would only get warm if that so I removed the 180* & installed the 195*, it seems to run better & the heat is very good. My gas miliage went up w/the new stat, it seems to burn the fuel better w/a hotter engine.

Even w/the 195* stat I can let it idle for a long time & not worry about it.

I get my 3 cores for $119.00 + tax from Cold Air Distributors.

When I buy the radiator I tell'em I have A/C (which I do) & a automatic, this way on a manual tranny U can either use the bottom (tranny cooler) for a oil cooler or save it for when U install a auto tranny.
