With all the news I see regarding the government forcing Chrysler to recall certain jeeps, I researched my Jeep year model to see if any new information was out there to explain my jeep fire.

Low and behold. I found new articles and descriptions of Jeep fires that were almost identical to mine. What Is particularly annoying is that Chrysler denied my damage claims and also the fire inspector did a piss poor investigation.

Anyway, I am happy that things were finally admitted and the right things were done for a few.

peace

Did you report it the the Natl. Defect database//I think it may be at safercars.gov?

Also.. check out if you can get a lawyer interested, that usually gets Chrysler's attention FAST.

I'm guessing you found you weren't the only one with the problem.

When I first started investigating Explorer Rollovers/Firestone failures, I was told they never heard of them and it was an isolated case of apparent poor maintenance/overloading by the unlucky owner.

Keep up the pressure...you can possibly save lives.
