Help! I was driving my 93 wrangler when it suddenly started sputtering and making tons of noise. When I got out to take a look I saw something had shot through the oil pan about the size of a quarter. Can someone please break to me gently what I'm going to deal with?

Pictures-maybe rebuild time. Rod cap or bolt maybe have broken and went through the pan. Drop the pan and look.

Doesn't sound good. Engine rebuild possibel. Maybe less expensive to rpelce with a good used engine. Size of a quarter, could be a wrist pin, a chunk of a piston, rod bolt, etc.
