Apple Airprint

Have you ever tried to print something at the office or home from your iPad or iPhone by choosing print? It will not do it unless you have a printer that supports Airprint.

I just spent $10 on a utility that will allow you to print to any network printer (that does not supprot Airprint) you have installed at home or office. As long as you are on the same network (which is the way Airprint printers work as well) you don't have to spend the money on a new printer that supports Airprint just to be able to print.

It's called Fingerprint (do a google). You do not install on your Apple device. You install in one of your desktops/laptops that are on the same network and usually left on. Yes, if you shut down the computer that has this utility you will not see any of the printers on your network. At least is better than buying a new printer. All you need is to leave the computer that has the utility on.

They do have a small device that you connect to your network router and do not have to depend on any computer being left on. Problem is that it cost $130. It works on pretty much any printer that is not Airprint capable.
