FTP Pro is for use with iPad as well the OnTheGo is for iPhone only.

If you want to store your documents on the iPhone than FTPontheGo will do this, you will not be able to edit, only php, txt, html which you do not use.

If you want to edit Word and Excel files you will need Office2Plus or Quickoffice. You will have to connect to your computer first to transfer the files you need to keep on your phone.

I use FTPontheGo because I have certain files I need on my VPS server. I have not had the use to edit any office files yet. I have not purchased any of the 2 office apps I listed, I have the free demo and trying to decide if I even need them, they do come in handy in a pinch for quick editing. I would not try to create a spreadsheet or Word document on such a small screen even though you can. Not sure if I should spend the money yet.

Ashley & I looked @ both. She said we will wait until Cappuccino Jim (the kids call you that from when we were @ your house a few years ago @ christmas/stopped by and you gave them Cappuccino. Plus w/so many Jim's, they know who I am talking about) figures it out.

She also said MS 2010 is in the APP Store. ??

I beleive that the 2 office apps I mentioned above allow you to convert to a pdf from word or excel docs (for sure Office2 does it). You have to be in word or excel than save and convert.

Actually I was playing around with both and I purchased Office2Plus which has more features and allows you to use any other cloud or ftp server you have in additions to the pre configure cloud ones. I checked out the ones from apple which are more expensive but I've been reading that they have a problem with compatibility saving office files since it's their own format.

That MS 2010 is a soccer sport application, has nothing to do with Office.

No need, if you get one on your email click on the attachment and the OS will read it. If you have an app that is housing pdfs you should also be able to read.

Office2+ just had a supper update. it now communicates with skydrive and others. I reads the new format for all office stuff. It allows now all apps to open into it. I really like this one now vs Quickoffice.
