Anyone know how the conditions are out there? Is it still flooded?

Anyone up for a ride next weekend?

The water is dropping, should be more so after this cold weather. Im on 36's with 4.5" lift. 33" mud terrain, although not a minimum requirement would allow you to go more places. Fire trail is still headlight deep. The western edge of sand road is really deep still. Lake has been closed from paved access. Rock pile is still open. Can get from lake to trails but there is 1 36" deep crossing over the canal. Prairie can be traversed from East to west almost to radio tower road. Radio tower north of E terry has some 36"+ holes.

Went for a ride on the 21st. Nice weather, not very busy though. Water is really drying up. Anyone on 31"+ all terrains should be fine. Still some deep holes with large submerged caprock exposed.
This area offers mud, sand, deep holes, Looong trails rock climbs and nice places for breaks.
IvanJKU I will pm you the location. As with most wheeling sites it is private property that isn't posted. Please be respectful of the area and pack out your trash and then some as this is the most common comlaint and reason for clousure out there. CaloosaJeepers.com is the local club. Contact them for a guided ride.

March 3rd 2012
The first annual Bonita clean-up is now an official club event.
From I-75 exit 116 Bonita Beach RD
Head east past Bonita Grande rd. (Publix and gas and jeep parts available at that intersection.)
Travel approx 1.2 miles. Look to the North side of the road for Caloosa Jeepers banners.

There will be a BBQ in the afternoon. 2pm?
Caloosa Jeepers will be bringing hot dogs, hamburgers, buns, trash bags and a grill. Please bring something to add to the BBQ. We will need chips, drinks, Ice, covered dishes, Solo cups, etc.
We could use a couple canopy tents and folding tables.
I'm thinking prizes for the most trash collected, wierdest thing found in the woods etc. We need some donations for the prize table.

Starting time will be 10am. I will make sure the entrance is marked and all the nails are off the asphault. The plan is to send out small groups to designated locations to collect trash. I would like to clean the lake first then branch out to other areas.
After we eat there will be guided fun jeep rides to the rock pile or the fire trail and a night ride.
This area offers something for everone. Long scenic trail rides, Sand, Mud-deep or beginner style, rocks, challenging trails and water of all depths.
