Looking to get a cage trying to spend around $600 looking for a shop or someone local with the ability to bend and weld tubing.

A short description of what I want is pretty basic

In the front Im looking for the two bars that go across the top through the middle, two down bars to go through to the floor/frame and a bar to across the top of the windshield as well as a bar to go across the bottom of the windshield. Just like the first picture Ill post

In the back Im looking for sort of the YJ style roll bar But I'm running a half hardtop and would need to put a whole hoop just like the 2nd picture im posting

Anyone have any idea what this would cost, where I could get it done, etc?

sounds pretty expensive. might be a good time to look at your own welding rig and tube bender. you would be amazed at how much you use a welder once you have 1 or 2.

I've never even touched a welder, let a lone watch something be welded in person lol. A cage is something I wouldn't trust my lack of skills to. Probably the only thing I want "professionally" done. My budget is pretty flexible right now so I'm going to have to take it and get some quotes.

There are kits that bring all the parts you need for a show cage. The reason it is called a show cage for for legalities. Once you get the tie in's to the frame, it will hold up the whole vehicle. Then all you need is a good welder to put it in. You can do a lot of the prep work, removing interior parts, cuttiong any holes needed, etc., and reduce the cost.

I know they sell the top picture I posted as a "show cage" in pieces. Hmmm might have to look into welding classes now.
