The fuse for my tail lamps keep blowing out. I have no rear tail lamps or running lights at night but head lights and aux lights are fine. I was told to check the lamp sockets. The left rear hazard light bulb is good but no power. I replaced the fuse start the jeep and the fuse blows. I up the fuse and it still blows!?????

Check the wires going to the sockets and see if they are chaffed anywhere where they could touch bare metal

i had this happen a few times in my commanche, the brake wire harness ran by the e-brake peddle under the dash and the peddle had worn thru the insulation so that it would blow every time i used the ebrake.
