Question, fix it or keep an eye on it?

I know, man I have to tare the intake back off etc.

I was thinking of a HOLE SAW right behind it to pull it out/pop one back in and re-weld the hold, then shoot w/the U-Pol Raptor again.

It is where your feet so and floor mat.

I've used those plugs for my floor pan holes, the rubber will not like the heat from that area... maybe J B Weld or Marine-Tex in a pinch, clean a good size area around the leak, bare metal as best you can, if it's just a small leak ( not under alot of pressure) it has a good chance to hold, I used J B Weld to seal the water jacket ports on my 4.0 head that did not match up to the passages on the 4.2 block that needed sealing for the 4.0 Head Conversion several years ago and it has not leaked yet, put a nice thick amount around the hole and it may work until you have it apart for a replacement. If it is an old plug with a larger area getting ready to go BAD this fix will not last long.

Thanks, not sure how hot it will get there but i know at least it will get to 195*, that is my T-Stat temp. Plus sitting when it is shut down = 225 easy.

I'm gonna get it hot and see if it is squirting or what. I thought it was the head gasket but it does seem like the plug.

Thanks,

Signed,
Always something

Well the vendors product won''t fit my application. So, I need to figure out something, I have time still have to get the tags for the Jeep so I can put it on the road.

As for pulling the motor, hummmmmm. No matter what/which way I go, it's a pain.

Now I dig deeper on their web site, section 8, page 61:
http://www.dormanpro...ionPlugApps.pdf

I find this, but need to know if I have a 1" or 1.5" plug.

Update:

Just shut it off after idling for 45min or more.

195* T-Stat.

Idling temp 200*

Shut down temp increased to 220* and that was the max, now falling.

Freeze plug is barley damp and I am letting it sit under pressure and no results of anything major.

I'm gonna see what happens tomorrow after it sits over night.
