Several of us have sprayed it. Let us know if you have any questions, but I'm sure you'll be fine.

That's a preference, but I certainly would. Figure how far down you are and all the work that is in this. If you get rust in a few years and have to do it again, you'll be miffed. Before applying the bedliner, I sprayed the entire tub w/ 2 coats of MCU...all but guaranteed to be rust free for life.

On this job, I had the body off, which made it easier; but easily done w/ the body on as well

Shutz gun (dump gun, undercoating gun). The raptor bottles fit these guns fine and spray nicely.

Be sure to cork/tape/plug EVERY nut/insert/etc that you plan to reuse. If this stuff gets in the threads, it will be your nemesis...

I did the jambs and a few other areas also where body armor went on top...

MCU = Moisture Cured Urethane

MCU is the actual 'tougher than nails primer'...

I used a Pettit marine grade MCU

Some prefer POR15...

Neither of these are cheap (+/- $40/qt), but well worth it...

I have no idea what the cheapest it. The one I use is 38.99/qt @ West Marine...1 qt will be plenty.
