JeepTalk has added a new feature called Member Map.
You will find the Tab on top of each page. We encourage everyone to use it to see our world locations.
These are the location of all the JeepTalk members, they can be shown populating the map for a quick reference review. If you click on the Marker a window will pop up letting you know the Member name. It is also handy if you wish to visit an area.
When the map is zoomed out you might see cluster markers with a number amount, click on them to zoom closer to the map. The area will spread and you will start to see the individual member markers.
Our moderators have tested this feature. If you find anything not working properly please post and let us know.
You can make it as accurate a you want.
1. Enter City, State (Only one marker will show for all Members with same City, State).
2. Enter City, Country.
3. Enter you full address. (Not a good personal privacy option, excellent for a business)
4. Enter Intersection, or close by location, etc. rather than City, State.
(best option, all markers will show with their perspective member name once you zoom in)
5. You may edit or change your location at any time.
Do not confuse this with the location field (City, State or Country) in your own member settings. This information is required which you agreed to follow when you registered. The member map is not a requirement, it is only used as a reference tool for a quick look at where some of our members are from.
We have the possibility of creating custom markers for different areas for you to zoom in and look around. If you care to post and submit an area that you wheel along with the location, we can place this custom marker on the map as well. It can be a wheeling spot, landmark, etc.
We will pin the Member Map topic. Ask for help, suggest custom marker locations, post your travel, etc. We appreciate any feedback on this feature.
Enjoy, and don't forget to visit the Member Map

I just noticed (never tried before) on the Member Map regarding your added friends listed on your Portal Profile....
Once you are on the Member Map and enter your location you will see a second tab on the top right "show friends".
If you click on that it will show only your friend's markers.
This is nice once the Map gets really populated.

Browsing the Member Map today and to my surprise there are 300 members from many areas of the world that added their location.
Pretty neat.
