Anybody interested in product like this? www.doorcaddy.weebly.com I developed this myself and I am looking to market it. I got tired of leaving my doors or putting them in the back seat. If anyone is interested feel free to contact me.

:welcome:

Personally (not to offend), they would bounce off, hang up on rocks or be buried in mud/H20.

I would just leave mine @ home or @ the campground.

Again, just my thoughts.

No offense taken by your post. Your thoughts are valid. I have used this on my Jeep for 2 years. I do not use it while off road. Just the thought of extending the length of the vehicle without changing the length of the wheel base would be inviting problems. As far as the doors bouncing off, they actually attach to the caddy the same way they attach to the Jeep. You can actually lock the door to ensure the door latch doesn't inadvertantly pop open. Thanks for your thoughts though.

Still need to do rock guards after the Por-15 in the rust holes.

Just kidding but it is a good idea for those who want to carry some people and have no room.

I like it nice design, but i not sure if its marketable. Think I am taking my doors off why would I want it near my jeep. Also if i have to screw the doors onto the cady thats double the work and also if i am talking the doors off to look good in my pretty boy jeep having doors off the back would defeat the goal.

But dont give me for every 1000 bad ideas you get one good one and that good will pay.

I have been in a situation where I would have hoped I had my doors with me and I did not so I got rain poured on my family and myself. On vacation in the Smoky Mountains in the Summer. We were driving thru the mountain heading to Cades Cove and it was clear sky at Gatlinburg when we headed out but halfway to Cades Cove it came down hard  Having my camera, Kids video games and wife's purse I had to put the top on but no doors we still got soaked.

I like the idea for non-wheeling vacation trips :2thumup:

The situation you mentioned is exactly why I developed this. I didn't want to haul them in the back seat, then I couldn't bring my kids. I also have a Door Caddy that has wheels that I can leave another set on in the shop. The caddy is similar, but on wheels. I wouldn't think of using this for anything except highway use, never off road.

Sorry for the delay in responding to the price. I am still trying to calculate the cost factors involved. I am inclined to think $225 maybe the retail price at this point.
