I looked on FB for JT but
Will JT have a page on FB like some others in the future?
Thanks,
Jim

As of now you can share a topic or post to your FB account by clicking on the FB icon.
If anyone would like to volunteer to maintain JeepTalk.net's Facebook page let us know. Page will need to be configured with a basic write up. Please let us know if you know how to get around Facebook, should not be too hard. Updating once a week with some quick maintenance should be enough. When you are no longer able we would appreciate passing the project once it is setup instructing another on the workings.

1. We needed to create a quick Jeep Talk account and a Jeeptalk.net page. Jim B took care of this in a basic manner since his knowledge of FB is very limited.
2. By Jeep Talk having and API key we were able to sync it to with Facebook members that are also members of Jeep Talk.
3. You will now see inside the Sign In box an F icon. If a member wishes to sync their FB account with their JeepTalk account click on the FB icon to login instead. You will receive instructions how to link your account. By doing this you now can switch from your FB account to your JT account seemliness. If your email address and member name on JeepTalk is different than your FB account be sure to have this information when you first do the setup.
4. What are the benefits of doing this? The benefits are to you the user. You can share content from the forum on your Facebook pages, you can have your status updates pulled to the forum, push forum status to FB, pull FB Avatar/photo, etc and.. It's a real quick one-click login of the F icon on the Sign In box.
We have not tested this. Let us know how it works.
Our Facebook account is Jeep Talk, our Page is JEEPTALK.net. Please go to the page first and not our account to friend yourself and be part of the community. If you wish to friend yourself to the account as well feel free to do so.
We would like to give Admin login to the jeeptalk.net FB page to someone who can volunteer to maintain and dress up the page a bit. For this kind gesture we will give away free of charge a Premium Membership with Gallery to the Jeep Talk member. If someone is already a premium member we would increase their storage capacity all around. Thank you for considering.
Have fun,
Admin

There is a support section. It's not moderated quite like it is on chat forums such as this. You have to weed through previous Q&A to hopefully find your answers. If not, then maybe someone will eventually answer your questions if they are new, but you have to continue to check back for the answer as you are not alerted from what I have found.

As a visitor to JeepTalk (person) vs. JeepTalk.net (page), it's easy to post on either wall by selecting what you want to do - post picture, link, etc.
As a visitor that has a photo in their own album that they want to "tag" such as the one I did of me Jeepin' topless, you can only tag people (JeepTalk) not pages (JeepTalk.net).
For you as JeepTalk, when you post to other people's walls you are logged in as a person so it will show as JeepTalk not JeepTalk.net. Because you (or the other Admins of the page) mangage JeepTalk.net, you can "Like" another page and specify that your page (JeepTalk.net) likes it rather than you as a person (JeepTalk).
Hope that clears this up for you.

If you happen to manage more than one page as an admin then you can select which page it is a favorite of.

Mashable article
Jim, this is how you want to have your setting switched so that you are posting out as the page and not the profile. Will save you a step.
Since I manage more than one page, this is not an option I care to do or else I'd be switching back and forth a lot.

No, it wouldn't make sense if I switch mine to be posting as JT page.
When you log in as JT person you want to switch YOUR setting to be JT page as your default posting status.
I have at least 3 pages I manage. I can't do it from my persona unless you want all my personal stuff associated with JT and I seriously doubt you want that.
Besides, it would confuse the hell out of all my peeps too.

Interesting! I just started a new community page called Trailabite 4 x 4 and I'm still trying to figure/understand all this stuff. Most of it is pretty cool though.

Not sure what the pros and cons are. Lulu is this how you want it
Do you then post all to the community page?
I noticed that all was lost on the profile page once we did this, should we go back, can this be transfered over?

I doubt it will transfer over automatically. Both will still be viewable, you want everything on the community page. If you switched it then anything you post now will get it there. I'll call you later this afternoon.
