Windows machines are funny. They still run DOS under the hood? :boo:

1. Safari. Firefox.

2. Because they are solid/fast.

3. Wait, there's a browser named SeaMonkey?!

1. Safari for mac

2. It just works

3. Pros - It just works right the first time. Don't need a bunch of "add-ons," just click-to-flash to disable flash. Cons- People whom have used the windows version think your nuts for liking it. (Safari under windows is a totally different experience.)

4. no problems, ever.

OS X is a Unix. It's not under any covers, it's an advertised benifit. =)

I will agree with this statement when talking about Windows ME and older consumer based OS because DOS was either integrated or Windows actually ran as a graphical interface on top of DOS but that all changed with Windows NT.

Here is an update to the browsers.
I have been using IE9 since it was released and have had no issues with JepTalk or any other websites I visit.

Visually is a lot like Chrome very clean without clutter. I will try to remember to get a screenshot when I get home.

Mr. Tester, have you tried Firefox 4 yet? anyone else  It should run on XP.

Briefly looked at the features and like what I see. Might even switch to it in the future if IE8 starts to get outdated.

It's installed and has less clutter that FF3.6 but still could be cleaner. It also seems to launch a lot faster than the older version which is a really good thing. I am replying to this post using it.

How is FF4 as compared to IE8? How does JT look on it? I noticed that the other browsers don't make the click sound when you switch, is this a setting or they just don't do it?

I'm Running FF4 and it is much faster than the last version. They have organized the top bars some and put the open tabs at the top. I like it so far. No problems here.

JT look good with FF4. Same rounded edges that you see with FF3.6
Not sure about the click, I have never really paid any attention to it.

hmm I just noticed a plugin issue with FF4. the video on the Hurry up to get back to Camp post
Not sure if it is an issue at my location or FF4 issue.
Error:
pfs.mozilla.org:443 uses an invalid security certificate

PS: It must be due to the firewall here at work not allowing invalid security certificates. I guess once FF corrects the invalid security cert it should work

I watch that vid without issue so it may be firewall related...

I'm switching to Chrome (on my office PC WIN7) and have to import all my settings/bookmarks to IE then to chrome. I can't get from Safari to chrome :nono: no tab to do so.

OK, I could not find a TAB to IMPORT my settings/favorites to IE9 so I can then EXPORT them to Chrome. :banghead:

Also, is there a TAB to DELETE all the favorites from IE9? This way I can import the current favorites to IE9, then to Chrome.

Thanks, Working toward the RE Browser-right Willy :rof:

Favorites are located in the path below
C:\Users\<your Windows User ID>\Favorites
They are simple internet shortcuts.

Chrome and the other browsers hide them in some sort of database file or something similar.
