Yeah. it was a great time. Alot more spectators than last year. I was stressing out about my 'missing' axle U-joint cap, then my jeep just shuts off and doesn't want to start when leaving Publix to go to the staging area. I think 50/50 team's motto should be " If there's a parade, we will break something". :empathy: Everyone did a great job with the lights and once again we ran out of candy 1/2 way through. A couple of us went to Jackson's after for some 1 lb burgers and dogs. Then drove back to Miami w/ no doors. Other than hearing about what happened to Steve, we han an awesome time!

Had a great time being part of the crowd with my family this year. :good: Took some pics of the SFJC and when I get a chance I will post them.

You guys looked great out there! :ya: I got to give it to the Lrd for the lights and to PigPen for having the Jeep up on the ramp on top of the float.

France, Monique, Patrick and I had a great time at the parade. It was great seeing some folks we haven't seen in a while, catching up and meeting new people and their famillies. All the Jeeps in the unit were decked out in a big way and truly stunning (in a holiday sense of course, rather than their usual offroad way). Great job everyone for the superior decorating  and from spectator response it looks like the Jeeps were a crowd pleaser again. With three floats; Jack's Hay Ride, Dave's Holiday lawn on a trailer and Sergio's RTI & TJ combo, we may have a first for our unit.

This was by far the biggest spectator crowd yet (hat's off to parade organizers). We went through 600 candy canes in no time flat. I suspect the story is similar for everyone else as well.

Pics are up an at:

Here's a few highlight shots

Jack, awesome job, the hoops with lights really make the float!

Awesome pictures NoAngel. Dim lighting situations are always difficult no matter what sensitivity the sensor is set to. Looks like you managed to deal with that effectively.

Again thanks for sharing the pix - they look great!

Just found this video of the whole parade.
Candy Cane Parade 2010

Our group is at 35:25.
The EJ4x4 club is at 21:35.

The whole parade video is almost an hour long. Wait for the blue bar to load some and then move the slider forward to get through to the sections you'd like to see.

Yah - it's just too easy for people to copy & use without creditting back the photographer so we just add the watermark to all photos netbound. That and it's getting hard for me to tell the difference from his shots and mine.

Excellent pictures guys. I wish we were able to make it, but we had to choose my cat or the parade. And my 18 year old baby couldn't suffer any longer so she came first. Holly - you are so sweet...thank you for the message. Sorry I didn't call you back...I'll talk to you soon. Anyway everyone did a great job and CJ and CJ - what an awesome transformation on that trailer! :2thumup:

With a crappy weekend for us, and trying to pick up pieces ourselves...Dino and I need a little cheer one night this week to decorate our back yard. Can someone coordinate getting all our lights, decorations, snow man, and my blow-up pooh bear together? I heard that when Dino's jeep was going down the highway our Snoopy took off, so don't bother looking for him...he's the Red Barron now! (That was too funny Steve) Anyways if all the decorations can be given to Stephanie or Gus, I can get it all at work, or at Meeghan and Gus' house. Would greatly appreciate it!

Sorry you and Dino couldn't make it. This was our first float and I am happy w/ the outcome. I had several friends and family riding in the back and everyone had a great time. They said everyone was so nice to them. It is cool to get away from the mud and do something for the community once in a while. :2thumup:

Thanks all for working on getting some of our decorations back. Found out Snowman lost in the accident. We found 2 strands of white lights in the jeep broken too. I heard Sergio has some of the lights and will get those to us soon. I received my Pooh Bear all tucked away in it's box. Unfortunately when I set him up in the back yard last night - he no longer looked like this...

I'm hoping the person that borrowed it will replace it this week. We found one on-line around $145 (it's the 8' one). Maybe he can find a better deal.

Advice to everyone - do not lend anything out and if you do, get a deposit! :banghead1:

Pooh Bear was having issues before the parade. If you will notice in the rear shot he is leaning on my pole that was borrowed to make him stay up straight along with some bungees and string.

Yes his Hunny pot is too small which makes him top-heavy but he was completely full of air...the issue now is it won't blow up so it has a hole somewhere that we could not find or there is now an issue with the seams or the fan blower...the bottom portion won't even blow up fully which means the air is not even reaching his feet, hands, candy cane, head etc. The lights inside still work, it's just not holding or getting enough air to fill the entire body. Hopefully will get home before dark and look at it in the light and see something that may be able to be repaired.

yes i have 2 strings of lights, the rest that was brought from the back of your jeep was in the back of Dino's jeep. It is almost impossible to move for me right now with all this pain, but as soon as I can i'll take them to the shop.
