Tom called me as I was dropping off Lulu before meeting up with everyone that was going to go eat something. I don't know if that was also Steve's plan but he had already dropped off Beauty.
As CrackerJack said, a young kid made a sudden left turn in front of Steve leaving him no time to react. Dino's Jeep went up over the hood of the car and then flipped completely upside-down. Several had to flip it over to get Steve out.
As Tom was at the accident scene with others, he asked that I go to the hospital to check on Steve. I got there and he was bloodied but not as beat up as one might expect. He's messed up his right hand a bit, possible fracture and broke the right side of his face which will need surgery in a few days after swelling has gone down and he's stabilized. They discharged him around 3:30am and we (Sergio & I) took him home to Tom waiting there who kept watch over him for the night.
He's on a liquid diet until the surgery or the doc says he's allowed to chew again.
Overall, Steve was in fairly good spirits at the ER but in a lot of pain, he was able to joke with Dino when he stopped by to check on him.
The kid and the passenger in the other car were not hurt as I understand and he was given a ticket.
Steve's very lucky after seeing the condition of the Jeep on the way home.

For now, no one should be going by his home tonight as he is not there.
The cellphone signal inside the ER was very weak last night. Steve has a hard time seeing his texts right now too with the double vision happening. Better to wait for updates here or check in with me as everyone constantly checking in with them will drain down her cell battery as it did mine last night.

He's back in the ER trauma room where he was last night. They've given him something for the nausea and are trying new pain meds as he's allergic to many that are available.

I think it's because of the facial injuries that kept bleeding and probably being swallowed into his stomach. One of his back teeth was broken so the nerve is exposed and is possibly still bleeding? It was hard for them to tell if the broken tooth punctured his cheek or not. He had a nasty cut on the outside that needs to be stitched up but won't happen until the surgery. Last night he kept getting nauseous and they had to give him meds for it.
He's resting now. They've taken some more tests and did more x-rays on his hand.

Broward General ER Trauma.
They haven't admitted him to stay yet. They should have last night but the doc on duty was a prick and sent him home because there wasn't "life threatening" injuries to justify it. The nurse and I both disagreed with his decision.
