I'd like to tag along, but I wouldn't be able to leave until friday evening. So, being unfamiliar with the area, I'd need someone to provide GPS coordinates, or let me follow you out if someone is leaving Friday night. I can make a pretty decent Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler for dessert.

Looks like a ton of Jeeps. Can't wait. No worries on the mudd! Pick your poison. We can break up into several groups to give everyone room and choice of dry ride or deep ride! Like someone mentioned this is more of a trail ride in the woods. As with other Parks extreme environmentalist and special interest groups would like to see the land restricted to foot traffic! We can ride off the roads accross the flats and through the woods, but Fish and Game does not want us in the ponds(Wetlands). As some found out last year there are some sticky, wet areas the roads and fire lanes run through and we can drive them(or at least try). Please tread lightly, so we can have a 3rd and 4th annual ride! Last year We learned night rides are not allowed and they will give you a ticket! :click: So, night rides are out, but music and a warm camp fire are in :banghead1: Bring chairs and your drink of choice, just keep in mind children and women are present, so southern hospitality is expected :) Maps are available at the gate, so you can help Miles find his way! :nervous: Bring your fresh water fishing rod if you want, there are a couple lakes you can try out. bring some marshmellows to roast and any other treats you can think of. Looking forward to seeing everyone :banghead1:

i got a question or two regarding camping out there- is it like JW Corbett where you just pay the $3 fee and there are campgrounds throughout the park where you can just pitch your tent, or are there other camping fees and regulations? also, are the majority of people camping out?
i hope to make it out, but i'm limited to 55mph (dumb laws of physics holding me back) so i'll either leave earlier or just get there later than everyone else.

As for camping, kieth has his camper allready set-up. Most will fit in the same general area. We will be down early Friday A.M. to try and seal off a good spot for a comunity fire and a place to set-up the BBQ, tables and food. Last year we had plenty of room for everyone. Some stayed at hotels, some stayed in tents between the motorhomes and travel trailers. The sooner you get there, the better spot you will get. Pigpen rolled out his sleeping bag on top of the out-house :rof:
So how many people do I need to plan on eating Saturday night. I have someone doing the BBQ(Chicken and ribs), so I need a head count. If I look at the present list it's only around twenty. Surely we have more than that.

Well it's taking longer to fix the camper than anticipated. I may have to resort back to tenting. And, I now have mandatory training on Saturday :rof: I may just come out for sunday if anyone is riding......... we'll have to see how it goes.
