Blew power Steering

Got Fd in Boynton beach, luckily a fellow jeeper came to my rescue with a simple phone call! THANKS AARON...E.J.&4X4....The power steering pump went.and took out the pulley as well..Never seen a Jeep bleed like that ! Got HOSED at 3 differant places that said the had all the parts I needed...They didn't.....Needed to get towed home ! I will blankity Blank about this in more detail when i have slept, now that I am home....But does anybody got exp changing this on a tj ?? Got the parts and the tools, just don't wanna take off the fan and shroud, if I don't need to...

You should not have to remove the fan and shroud.

Make sure you get one with the pulley already on it because when I did mine it did not have the pulley and it was a PITA.
I agree with JimB you do not need to remove the shroud atleast that is how it was in my 2006 TJ.

Anybody know what size that allen bolt is that holds the pully on ?

In my TJ it was pressed on so I ended up buying a new pulley and it came with a installer tool. Basically a bolt and a nut to press it back on.

Yeah I got the new pulley, but I got to get the old bolt out..Remember what size allen ?

I checked on my pulley and is was a 3/8'' allen.

Thanks I got it out and replaced, now I just need new lines, nobody has em in stock had to order :grin:
