Let me rephrase my answer...I tow mine with a FORD, with a DODGE I wouldn't feel safe going over 30. :sword:

I have towed 75 without problem Make sure your tow bar rides flat from the ball to the jeep and rember to inflate your tires after wheeling also what are you doing for brake on the jeep, any thing over 3000 lbs needs brakes by law

I was wondering how long it would take to get a bite. I have the 7.3L turbo diesel. Have had the truck for over 6 yrs & not one problem (knock on wood). I've heard alot of complaints from the guys that bought the newer one's w/ the 6.0L Don't use Lrd Jeffrson for a reference. He thinks doing 70 w/ 2 lug nuts on is "safe".

We have towed our 99 tj for 2 years. We tow with transfer in neutral and trans in park. This enables pump to work. We two at 60 with no problem.

it was suggested by rambo to pull my drive shafts, to allow the jeep to pull more freely, what y'all think??

thats an option. do you really want to take the time to do that or just spend the extra 2 bucks in gas to get where ever your going? I keep trans and t case in neutral and all works well for me. no issues. just a little swaying but im pullin a YJ on 33's and total 7" lift with a laredo stock… I WILL NOT go above 65. on the trip home, depending how much mud is packed in the tires, I wont go above 55. but to each his own… different pulling vehicles have different capabilities.

Glad you made it safely. As far as pulling the DS I only pull about 45 min so I just leave them on. But that was a good desicion to do that at that many miles.
