Is it possiable for some of the registry to be corrupt?
1. I have Advanced Uninstaller on my PC and when I go to defrag the registry it won't.
2. When I go to upgrade to WIN7, will the new OS install new registry keys? (maybe this will fix everything)
3. When I install teh new upgrade OS would it be best to set the PC back to the factory specs (VIA-recovery disc's) and start w/a clean slate, OR, will the registry still be messed up?

All good questions but if your registry is corrupt you will have bigger issues.
I would say since you will be doing an upgrade then it maight be best if you start with a clean PC and getting it back to factory would be a good thing. After the upgrade then do all you installs. One at a time and test the right click issues.

OK. How can one fix a corrupt registy?
Would the OS do it like you say?
BUT,
If I install a program and the R-Click doesn't work I will uninstall but then I am back to square one.
Seems to me the OS should go back to the original setting. Maybe this one was corrupt from the dealer but as HP said they just build them, they don't own the OS
You need to fly out here Willy

The reinstall or upgrade and definately the factory restore will take care of the registry.

Thanks, I'll check each one as I go for the RClick etc. I hope it's not MS's updates.
Yes, wheeling in NV, good stuff.
Thank you Willy, take 20 out of petty cash OR tell Jim to give you another gallery OR more MB on your service, tell him I said it was OK.
