i'm considering running a cat back exhaust and was wondering if anyone is currently running anything. i'm leaning toward's the new bank's cat back. i'm really looking for a little more performace and torque and a little increase in gas mileage wouldn't hurt either, :drive: out of the 4.0L in my 2001 tj. currently running 35 bfg's w/ 4.56 gears. :amazed:

Bch4x4cop,

I have a Flowmaster 40, used to have a Borla but I like the sound of the Flowmaster better. Have no experience with the Banks.

Performance and gas mileage wise depending on the equipment or mods that you have on your TJ you will notice a slight improvement if any. I did notice that the resistance on mine did get slightly better but nothing to brag about. :amazed: I do like the sound. :sneak:

Bch4x4cop,

Let me know how it works out if you go with the Banks. If I had to do it all over again I would get a much lower profile unit. I stuffed mine inside the skid to create room for my 3link, it's tight in there and a more lower profile unit would have helped.

I have the Banks cat-back and the headers. I love it. My wife didn't like it at first....but the sound grew on her..... :lroll: :lroll:

I didn't really notice a huge difference. Maybe a little more oooomph on the pick up...and a little smoother at higher speeds (I have a lead foot).

FYI....I purchased the cat back through Quadratec....and the header through 4x4groupbuy.com

Hope that helps.....
