OK, I checked the second picture from CompUSA and it has a rating of 3dbi. I have a 2bdi antenna now @ the building. I don't see where this would be any advantage.

You could have 2 routers in line but things can get a bit complex so it is better to make the D-Link an Access Point only device.
What is the exact model and revision of the D-Link? It should have that info in the back or bottom of it.
example:
DIR-615
DIR-615_REVB
DIR-615_REVC
DIR-615_REVE
I have the DIR-615 D-Link.

I received the 30' cbl and it did not work, seems it couldn't push the length.
Here is what I have @ the office,a 2dbi but now I found out they have 5dbi:

So what would be the best course, I did have the 615 in the bedroom window and it worked ok, but now I have the charters router/wireless in the living room so the kids could be hard wired for X-Box. I could run a hard wire from there through the attic to the bedroom via an ethernet cbl and see if the 615 will work as a access point (still haven't tried it).
I would much rather get a good hard signal to the office 300' away of which I was receiving 6Mbps but trying to get back to the house w/the 2Dbi antenna is hard now that I moved the router to the family room.
I'm almost ready to mortgage the Jeep
