If any of you use the Xbox 360 console and happen to have a memory unit that is not Microsoft do not take the latest fall update as your memory unit will become unrecognized by the console. I guess they decided to add to it's monopoly by adding a switch in the latest update to not allow non-Microsoft memory units.

Not happy and I have blasted them with my nasty emails every which way I can because I have lost access to my 4 years of game save data as well as my kids save game data.

can you recover the data using a console without the update? I haven't update mine, you are welcome to use it if it can be done.

Yes it can, But you will be forced to take the update the next time you log in to xbox live.
Unless you are willing to wait I can stop by this weekend sometime
