What high speed internet(DSL) do you use and how much does it cost?
I use ATT and feel they charge way too much--originally--3 years ago--- the cost was $25/ month--Now--$ 65/month!

just curious , exacty what are you paying $65.00 for ? :1thumb:

my Att DSL is only $35.00 a mounth the top package offered , which is the ( DSL elite ) super fast and it covers my main desk top and wi-fi wireless hot-spot Router for lap top .

fast access DSL packages prices range from $19.95 - $35.00

.......if your paying more then that your getting ripped and if i were u i would call them up and find out why your paying more then the National advertised price per package .

heres the avail packages : http://attsignup.com/att3/att_dsl.htm

You must read the whole ad.
Those prices are for NEW RESIDENTIAL orders only.
I have a business account and am an existing customer.
And yes they are ripping me off!!!

I have Bellsouth DSL Xtreme 3.0 mbps (Elite is 6.0mps)

I pay $62.20 each month:
$38 for the DSL and $25 for a phone line that never gets used. The ringer on the one phone in the house is always left off and no one has the number. Actually i don't even know the number.

It is fast though. But i would gladly upgrade to the 6.0 if i didn't have to pay for the phone line.
BUILD IN PROCESS:
YJ, Chevy 350/th350/np208, front & rear stretch, MileMarker 12k winch, D44 w/ OX Locker & 4.88's,
12-bolt w/ Detroit Locker & 4.88's, 38.50x14.50r15 TSL/SX, 15x14 Centerline Wheels

please help me to understand you alittle clearer :
when you say you pay $65.00 a mounth are you refering to both DSL & phone combined or just DSL ? :1thumb:

all i pay is $35.00 a mo.for DSL . if your paying $65.00 for DSL & phone really thats not to bad
but if your paying $65.00 just for DSL serv alone .......yep thats a Rip .

my total combined bundle for DSL , home phone : before taxes runs about $81.00 a mo . with unlimited long distance etc .

im not sure if you can find super fast DSL serv . out there now a days for less then $35.00 a mounth .
at least i havent seen it i could be wrong but i beleive thats the going rate now a days

You can cancel the residential line and tell them you want the DSL only, you don't need a phone line. A friend of mine did this. They will still need to bring in a "line" for the dsl but it will not act as a phone line. After you can get VOIP through your dsl and still have a phone on your own. Don't let the sales team tell you what you need, tell them what you want or you'll go to comcast.
