Very nice :bat: That's strap makes it easier to take the spare tire off before taking it to the limit :king1:

What difference will it make since the metal tube will still be there without a tire :2thumup:

The weight of a 37" hanging from the back will play a big roll if you are going up on a trail.

Here's a couple thoughts for you guys!

1 - The tire actually sits 2" higher than the way the stock tire sat. Also, the larger the tire, the tire it goes up not up and down as it would with a normal tire carrier, which means the ground clearance doesn't get smaller when you go to larger tires.
2 - You would actually be rubbing off of metal instead of rubber if that makes a difference.
3 - If you really thought the tire carrier would be an issue all it takes is removing one cotter pin and a nut and the tire carrier would lift right off. (This if you really thought you were going to take it to the limit. Unlike some of us in the 50/50 club.)
4 - This tire carrier is very light weight compared to some of the other ones out there.
5 - Plus it can double as a carrier when you go places like the beach. I have already used it by removing the tire and throwing in four lawn chairs. A big plus for us two door guys.

That's my thoughts and I like it and think it will work out well. For another $85 I will be getting the corner protection that is offered by this vendor as well.

If you have any other questions or want some clarification let me know.

Also, I understand he is making this for the TJs now also.

Andy and Kristen are the owners. They are great people. Send them a message or give them a call if you are interested. If nothing else, they will put you on the list when they start coming off the assembly line if you are that interested.
