Windshield removal. I think I got the most out of this one. Had to put a temporary windshield in until I can fix the other one in stock.
Had to drill out two bolts
And two here as well. Note: these were not rusted in. They seem to be aluminum or ... I'm not sure but they were clean. On these two I used the air ratchet first instead of doing it by hand and stripped them.
Laying windshield down to get to the last nut
Unplug wiper motor, grab both ends to separate
Remove motor arm clip
Wiper arm
Remove motor. Note: the two small rivets on the plate, they need to be ground off to transfer to the replacement windshield so you can keep the VIN number
Remove motor strap screw
Had to cut bad section away to finish getting to the bolt that just would not drill out
Windshield removed
Removing glass, then it broke after 22+ years
Cleaning rubber gasket
Reinstalling motor and arm
New Quadra Tech rubber windshield seal to keep the feet dry
Installing rubber seal
Temp used windshield installed. Did not paint it cause Peach wants to paint the Jeep, so I left it
Loosen and install windshield knob then adjust the two bolts that hold the windshield secure
Installed grade 5 windshield bolts with stainless steel washers (may get some concaved bolts) 5/16"x18x1" (could use 3/4" bolts)

No, the W-shield is coming back off to go on the CJ8 build & Peach is getting a better one (have to cut a small bad piece out/fix). I will also cut the lip (where the rust holes are)(I'm sure JimB wants a write up) and fix that as well. Thanks for the tip, I had forgotten about it.

You can use a YJ windshield frame I've got one on my 86 CJ7.
stonger wiper guts and 13" blades.
