Hey everyone, just spending some time to read through all the postings here. I am MikeHoncho and currently wheel in a 2010 JKU "Mountain" edition. Why you ask? I wanted a new Jeep in Rescue Green. I had a black CJ7 a very long time ago and I guess I missed the fun of a Jeep.

I have only had my JK a little over a year now and still working on all my upgrades/mods/toys. I use my Jeep as a daily driver so I haven't gone too extreme on the mods, as of yet.

Here is an older picture.

Hey! I KNOW you!

Me2 here from Fort Worth, TX. I got my 2 door JK late in 2008 and wouldn't let my husband drive it. He traded in his vette for a 2009 JK Unlimited about a year later. Things get interesting and EXPENSIVE when we hit the trails:

Hey all! New to the site. In NW Ohio, but I see a lot of Floridians here. I've got family there too though. Just joined minutes ago, but hope to chat with y'all later. Off to bed for now as it's an early work day tomorrow. *JEEP WAVE*

Hey folks!

I saw a post on FB about night photography, it looked interesting so I came to check out the forum.

I'll warn you in advance that I'm an ornery, outspoken, conservative, gun totin chubby old Irish woman.
One thing about it though, you can always count on the fact that I'm not going to BS you.
I may pull your leg once and a while but you'll always know where you stand.

I have strong views on the issues of land use and have the honor of serving as our clubs Director of Land Use this year
and a lot of the younger folks call me the "Trail Mom" because I keep 'em straight, or try to at least.

I have an 06 Rubi named "Ajax" that I bought brand new, only FOUR payments left!

When he was a brand new baby:

It's been an ongoing project, as they all are.
Thankfully I have my husband Dick aka OBM (On Board Mechanic) to do all kinds of wonderful things for my Jeep.
A few of the coolest are my (as we call it) "Dick Hard" bumper, tire carrier and rock rails. All made by OBM.

Here's how Ajax looks today:

I'm currently running a 4" lift and 35's and hoping to eventually stretch it a bit and go bigger with a long arm.
Only time and money will tell though. Like everyone else, money's tight. We're retired so I have more time on my hands than good sense these days.

Starting tomorrow, Ajax will be going through another MAJOR Change.

I'll post a build thread.

Hey there everyone the name is Rob
Shes pretty ugly right now lol but here's my Jeep
1999 XJ sport
Tons planned for it and probably going to be a trailer queen, but I might insure it one day if its in the budget just so I have some more wheeling options
I already love my beatup 1000$ cherokee more than my 50k daily driver
So far I've only been to 8th street down in Miami in my dd a couple times but looking to hit some new places once the xj is ready

Nice looking ride... like your fenders. :good2:

Been to TN wheeling a few times before they closed a lot of the good areas further East. Now a few of us go a bit West and frequent Windrock. Let us know on the Wheeling forum of any areas you frequent up your way, would enjoy hearing.

Hello everyone! New to the board and jeeps in general, and looking to get clued in to the South Florida Jeep scene. Not new to wheeling, just new to jeeps. If you are in the Boca Raton / Delray Beach area you might have seen me around. Almost finished stage 1 of my 2011 Unlimited build...

Thanks for the welcome. This jeep has quickly moved to an obsession. Spent many long hours modding, and am now on very thin ice with the Mrs.

I have a question because I see you are local, if you or anyone else can answer I would be grateful. Are there any reputable shops or individuals in the area to do some welding on my rig? So far I haven't let anyone lay a finger on it cause I wanted to do the work myself. I ordered some gussetts for the front knuckles and was going to learn to weld and do them myself but its looking like more than I bargained for.

Thanks!

My recommendation to you is if you want to do the work yourself it will be a good idea to learn to weld. That is exactly what I did. Once you can weld there are plenty of possibilities for you :2thumup:

As far as shops goes, I don't know if 4Wheel Parts has welders but the guys in the West Palm store are a great group.

Hey everyone, my name's Connor. I joined a while ago but haven't been on much since. Now that I don't have class for a little over a month I'm back :biggrin1:

I've had my Jeep since last August and am *slowly* working on building her up. All the repairs and maintenance and what-not is done from the neglect of the PO only thing really left are his passenger tires  .

Welcome Connor. Something looks kinda familiar about that last pic. My jeep is out of commission for probably another month then I'll be tearing up the town again. Let me know when you're ready to lift that thing. I've done a YJ lift or two.

Nice ride (except for the square head lights) I can see you know CrackerJack which has a habit of having non running Squares. That's ok though because they run again after a while. There is one advantage to all of this... Cracker is very knowledgeable in the troubleshooting, fixing and modifying Squares. :good2:

Yup! :biggrin1: Money's kinda tight, I'm going back to South Africa for my moms wedding and tickets are costing me the price of another YJ :2thumbdown: lol but probably after next semester I should have everything ready thanks!

Hahaha yeah, I actually met him after the situation that arose in that last pic.. And being pointed to this forum for the "Rescue" thread  Eventually I'll have my dreaded "square headlights" built enough to post my number in there too!

Greetings.

I'm from Cleveland, Ohio and we license Candy Cane Cruise events. These are events in which Jeeps (and other convertibles) cruise business districts with their tops down during the Holiday Season. It's great family-friendly fun and an opportunity to promote urban merchant districts and historic downtowns.

Currently there are Candy Cane Cruise events in the Greater Cleveland area but we are looking for sites outside of Ohio. These are great opportunities to stimulate foot traffic to downtown merchant districts and raise a few bucks for your good causes. If you are looking for a fun, simple fundraiser and know of a good business district, please check us out and we'll get you going on a great holiday event your town will LOVE.

:welcome: No matter where these events are help you could post them on the "Happenings" forum and on the main calendar of Jeep Talk. I'm sure Jeeps from a particular are will see this. Sounds like a great idea for any local area. :ya: Might also want to post and ask in the Worldwide Club forum section.

Newbie here. Current Jeep '87 YJ, owned 3 years, from orig owner to me. 118k miles, French tranny just rebuilt... :banghead1:

It's getting tired. Suspension pretty much shot. No lift kit. Engine might be losing an exhaust valve, not sure, but pop-pop-pop on downhill runs...

Saw '05 Rubicon for sale, really low miles, great shape, price seems right.

Tell me about this model, why I should or shouldn't buy it....and which in your opinion is the best year Jeep to own.

Thanks in advance.
