Hey, I'm new to the site and wanted to stop by and give a little background on myself and my Jeep.
I inherited my 87 YJ from my brother in August of 2008. He LOVED his Jeep. His wife tried to get him to sell it but he wouldn't give in. After he passed I let her now that I would like to keep it in the family, and she agreed that he would have liked that as well. Shortly after that it embarked on a LONG journey from Honolulu to Tampa.

He had made some improvements, such as a Jasper engine, Holley 4 barrel, Clifford 6=8 intake, Cliford header, Rhino lined the tub, and installed Bestop trailmax sport seats. I have only done minor upgrades since I have had it such as rebuild the carburetor and clean it up a bit.

I haven't done much wheeling yet but it I would like to in the near future. I'am currently in search of an Ax-15 to replace the Peugeot (which of course is on its last leg) so I can head out to the woods soon. I'am excited to be a part of your community and look forward to corresponding with you all.
Until then, Ben

P.s. I'am a newbie to posting as well so please bear with me. :1thumb:

Btw, if you are looking for an ax15 post up on the wanted jeep section.

You've got a good truck there, the only real downer is the square headlights but you can now get a kit to go round. :harhar:

Greetings to all,
I'm new to the Jeep world, I recently bought an 89 YJ fully stock w/o any modifications to it. Here with in the last few weeks I've rhino lined the tub and added 31's w/ the new Rubicon rims (the 4" rough country suspension lift is on its way w/ 33's) I am located in Cape Coral, Fl and work as a medic. I hope to see ya'll in the trails.

Hi everyone, I'm Travis.

A bit about me, I'm an Afghanistan vet (Air Force) and still serving up at McChord. I'm on my first jeep, an '88 Wrangler, its a good vehicle over all but there are some minor issues with it (I'll post about those later). I'm not very mechanically inclined. I'm capable of doing most of it, and I've done a small amount of maintenance on up armored HMMWVs (the ultimate jeep from hell?), but I don't really have any desire to do it often.

Aside from that, I'm a gun guy, I'm very thick skinned, more than likely think I'm better than you even if confronted with evidence suggesting otherwise.

Hope to be a thorn in y'alls side for a long long time.

Still paying for the jeep, so trying to scrounge for a lift and some more mods. Here's a picture of my jeep, it likes to stay dirty  Im interested in meeting the group here in south florida and seeing what trails and rides S FL has to offer.

Hi all, My name is Jack & I live in Miami. I recently got an 89 wrangler & just joined SFJC. The only mods (for now) are 2" BL & 33x12.5 Baja Claw tires. I also replaced the cowl seal so now the carpet doesn't get soaked every time it rains. Am looking forward to meeting other jeepers & doing some riding together. I should be at the next club meeting & Towers.

Hey guys and girls, Noob here! Well newish to FL, and to the swamp mud scene. Im orig. from western massachusetts, big difference from eastern, BIG. lotsa off road land to use, seems like every town you go into has a playground for 4x4's. from river mud, to rock crawlin'.....

Anyways, my name is aaron, im 27 years old and a united states coast guard veteran. i just purchased a 2000 XJ sport. 125k on it, CLEAN as hell too. bone stock. Working on lift/rims/tires to start. nothing major, im recently engaged and paying for a wedding so the cash flow will be short till june of 2010.

So i figured i'd introduce myself, hope to find some wheeling buddies here! if ya'll ever need a stocker to come play. ill come play, but cant get into anything serious just yet.
