Just wanted to say "Hi Yall". Texas newbie here. I used to ride motorcycles until my knees
started giving me trouble. So now I guess it's time to do the Jeep thing. I had several Jeeps
over the years, but my current ride is a 2007 Wrangler Sahara 2Dr. I just found the forum
and am looking forward tokeeping up with what's happening on it.

Another newbie from the frozen north

Just new here from Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Very cold here right now. I have a 2006 Liberty Sport. I have put on the Mopar skid plates (except gas tank) and a trailer hitch, changed all fluids to synthetic and put on a Flopro muffler. Do all the work myself when possible. This is my first winter with her, previously had an 89 Cherokee, which got me through a lot of snow. New Nokian studded tires on the Liberty though.

Hi, My name is John I came across your site while looking for some Jeep clubs closer to my home. I live in Arcadia, FL. I go by sgt1022 on several forums. I'm glad to see a site of mostly FL jeepers. I'm looking forward to getting to know ya'll better. I just started in Jeeping. I purchased a 80 CJ7 with a 258/t176 4spd. It has stock axles(D30/AMC20) w/3.07 gears. It had 33x12.50 Trxus M/T, a 2in body lift, Carr nerf bars, tube bumpers front/rear and a bikini top when I bought it. I added a Carr light bar and 4 100w lights. I converted to a MC2100 carb from the Carter. It currently isn't street legal. The family uses it to run around the woods. My wife and I have three children, 1 in college and 2 at home. My construction plan is new wiring, mech. gauges, etc. to make it more reliable. I would like to add larger tires, 3.73 - 4.11 gears, winch, lockers, complete soft, etc. You know more bells and whistles. I'll post some pics soon.

whats goin' on everybody. its gettin kinda cold here in louisiana, but if you dont like the weather now just wait till tommorrow. i'm looking for me a new jeep. my wife wants a liberty but i kinda want a wrangler. i have had 2. a 98 with a four banger and a 2005 rubicon with four inch lift and a set of 33 in. boggers and a set of 34 in. thornbirds. i have a 2000 cherokee 2wd. it has some problems though. when you crank it the first time it doesn't start. when you crank it the second time it will start. i think it is the crankshaft position sensor. it possible it could be the camshaft position sensor. it will not throw a code though. i have never ran in to this problem before on a jeep. i am a a heavy machinery service tech and on a diesel when you have this problem it will through a code. i hate to buy a crank sensor and it be the cam sensor. if anyone has had this problem, let me know. none of my other friends have had this problem. i have had two trucks since the 05 rubicon, but i miss having a jeep. if you ever fall in love with one you will always want another one. they are hard to beat. especially duck huntin'

:1thumb: Sgt1002 and jpullin2.

Jpullin2, you might want to ask your Cherokee 2wd problem question in the Tech forum section. You will get more responses over there as this is an Introduction topic :ya:

Sgt1022, looking forward to your ride pics. There is a pinned topic in the Wheeling Aftermath forum just for this. :)

Hey every one, I just joined today. I know let the "noob" jokes begin LOL. Name's Brian I'm 20 from Chicago IL. I'm the proud owner of a 1993 Jeep Grand Chreokee Limited. Basic specs on her are 4.0L I6 (my $.02 its the Best engine ever built) AW4E auto tranny, NP242 Transfer case, factoy Dana 35's front and back, 117,000miles, and all for $300. I cant wait to get her back on the road. The trans is completely blown, thats why i got her for so cheap. This isn't my first Jeep, many moons ago I had a 1993 Jeep Cherokee, 4.0L I6 AW4 NP231. I let that one go because the rear main seal decided that it was a good time to give out, while driving home from work on the high-way. The's nothing better than driving at 70mph then watching your oil pressure gauge drop from 55 psi to 0 in about the time it takes to blink. All that and workin 16 hours straight, AWESOME!! WE made it home okay but I reluctantly sold my beast. I didn't have the time to fix him. I miss my Cherokee. I appoligize about the rant, just thought you guys and gals would like some back ground on me. I look foward to talking with every one I can and maybe even eeting some of you at trail events. BTW off topic here but has any one else ever noticed a "Jeep wave" you know the wave "hey" or "whas up" to other jeep owners on the road? 1 more off topic subject, next month, February 27th will be 3 years for the fiance and I. I'm looking foward to talking with you guys.

Tampa Bay Search & Rescue is a team made up of members from across 7 counties in the west central Florida area. We responsd to lost children, people, disaster calls, hurricane assistance, calls from local/state or government officials where they feel the need for our assistance. We started out of a 4-wheel drive club and the majority of our members are still involved in off-roading. Currently we are participating in the search for Adji Desir, we are looking for possible places to stay while in the Lehigh/Imokalee area. Any place where we can crash for the night, take a shower and maybe be something to eat. We will probably have around 6 vehicles total, but I will know more information tomorrow. So since you all know that are better, if you could look around and respond I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
