Welcome to jeeptalk. Check out in the Tech Tips section to see what you can find, and ask the same question there. There are several different ansewers to this, but I would think all you would need to fit them would be about 2 inches of lift, and there are several ways to get this acomplished. Also come out to Tower SHops this friday night you should be able to see a few YJs there with some lifts.

Hey gang,

I'm new to your forum and hope to meet up with you at the Tower Shops!

OK, now you might be asking yourself - why would someone join a Jeep forum and use the name "corvette9999"? Well, my "true love" is my fully customized 1987 Corvette which I bought "bone stock" about 11 years ago. Over the years, it has gone through an amazing transformation and has appeared in magazines, magazine ads, web sites, newspapers, etc. Well, last October just before it was to travel down to the Florida Keys for an all-Corvette car show - I shattered a piston and now I'm have the engine rebuilt and further modified. Many of you have seen it at Tower Shops, it's the yellow & purple corvette with Anna Kournikova on the hood and rear racing wing.

Well, without the vette, I decided a few months ago, to pick up a nice clean "old" Jeep, which like the vette... I had to start modifying. While the vette is wildly modified, the Jeep is only mildly modified. My jeep is a 1992 YJ hardtop with a 4" lift and 33" tires, a few extra off-road lights, safari basket, and a few other "goodies".

I'm looking forward to joining the club and attending a few events. Well, with an upcoming divorce, it seems I might have some extra time to spend with the Vette and Jeep. My 6 year old son loves both vehicles and loves car shows, etc.

Respectfully,
Corvette9999

My name is Greg and just recently purchased my second Cherokee. The first was a 84 that I drove for over 10 years. My latest is a 95 Cherokee Sport 4x4 4dr. pretty stock at the moment but with some time hopefully will get even better. Looking around forums at the moment hopefully can get my 25 post in so I can start winning at sudoku. :give5:

Also see if you can knock off TallJeep on the Sudoku forum at least on one level for some prices.

Hey Everybody,

I just joined! I recently became a Jeeper when I got my new 08 Rescue Green JK. My cousin, JeepNWilly, got me hooked on the Jeep way of life. I look forward to hittin' the trails with my own jeep from now on. Its currently stock, but I have already installed some grab handles, entry guards and I just ordered Shrockworks Rock Sliders...gotta start the mods somewhere.

Hi Everyone,

I actually don't own a jeep yet, but am looking to purchase a 97-02 wrangler. I've actually have the opportunity for an 02 for about 6K. It's in pretty good shape but is missing the back seat, which I can get without any problem. The engine looks good no leaks that I can detect, and the undercarriage does not look like there is anything wrong with it other than normal wear and tear. I has GY wrangler's 31's i believe that probably need to be replaced within the next few months the dealer said he'd get me a deal on a set of 31's for about $350.00 mounted and balanced. Anyways just wondering. OH yeah it is a 2.5 5spd and shifts smooth.

Thnks.

Welcome, if you plan on modifying the jeep, dont worry about the tires the dealer will give you save your money for a nice set of offroad tires. And try to find one with a D44 rear end

Just found you guys from googling south florida jeep club. I just moved down from CT and im looking to start WHEELING again soon. What is there to do down here? Just mud bogs and flexing on alligators or are there actual rocks and hills somewhere??

I sold my rig before I moved down so i'm looking to buy a project again soon. Here's a few pics of my old rig - 91 xj 4.0 on 6", d44, trxus mts, etc

Just signed up. I am a member of other Jeep forums. I signed up because there seems to be more south florida members on this forum. I am in need of some local mechanical help. I like seeing some of the pictures of local jeeps having fun.

Welcome to the forums, there are some great photos.. You might want to start a new thread as to what you need specifically, or do a search for some of the latest requests, some people have listed their preferences for local mechanics in other threads, and in the Vendor area..

Hi, Jeeptalk!
I've been a member for a few months but just got around to logging all my information. The site is great and I look forward to meeting some of you on the trails. I live in the Weston, FL area and drive an 06 Rubicon Unlimited. I can't figure out how to insert a picture in this post so I guess that will come with time.
I'm going to the Keys this weekend and was thinking about trying the Hump(?) on Sunday morning. Good place to go? I believe it is at the North end of Card Sound Road. I'll put a post on the lets Go Wheeling thread.
See you on the trails.

See you out there.
