Hey,

Been lurking a while, signed up finally as I liked what I saw. Current ride is a '79 CJ7, lifted with 35" tires, full roll-cage, 401, etc. Also have '90 chevy fullsize P/U 4X4 with 350 motor and 35" on it.

Not sure how to add a pic so won't do that now.

Currently live North of Detroit area, and work in the Motorcycle field.

Glenn,

:2thumup: Hope you have some fun in here like the rest of us. Nice to have seen your Jeep and met up with you at the SEJF. :1thumb: I see that you are local so I'm sure you will also meet up with some of the other excellent Jeepers that are also from your area. Some of these guys will start to make you spend your money in your new found Jeep sickness. :ya:

I Drive a big red chevy. not excatly a jeep or a 4x4 but it gets the job done. Its a pretty willing machine for pulling some people in distress, even though its a 2WD. I want to get to the 4x4 rescue part of the site.

Dustin,

:innocent: Have met and wheeled with Jeepers in Canada. Just starting out I see, your young enough to at least go through 5 build ups at different times. I started late so I'm on my third one so I'm pretty well done.

When you get a chance post up a pic of your Jeep. :ya: The wheeling section has a thread dedicated to this, does not have to be a wheeling pic. Show us your country side. :gossip:

Jason,

Welcome to JeepTalk, good to have you. We have a Land section on here that you might also want to visit. The person you are looking for is on here as Jeepincj78, his name is Frank and he is the president of the South Florida Jeep Club (used to be Plantation) if this is who you are looking for. You can PM or email him from JeepTalk.

To clarify a few things, JeepTalk is not a club forum, Jeepers from all over the nation and world hang out over here. It just so happens that the SFJC is very active here along with being a JeepTalk sponsor.

Okay, it's Joe Dillard introduction time! :cool1:

I'm staying in Boca Raton and working in Riviera just north of West Palm Beach. My employer was looking for volunteers for a work assignment, which brings me here for ~5 months. I live in San Diego, CA, but it looks like I'll be here for a handfull of months till my assignment is finished.

I have a '91 SOA YJ, with the usual bells & whistles. I've had it for going on 11 years and keep dumping $$$ into it for some strange reason.

Here's a couple pics of my junk:

Thanks for the welcome and also the heads-up on the next informal meeting! :cool1:

I looked in the Happenings section to see if I could find a thread about this since you brought it to my attention, but didn't notice a thread about it.

Do you know what time it will begin?

Thanks!!

BTW: Any chance Jim B will be their? I traded PM's with him on another board earlier today and tried to call him on an old phone number I have for him - but got an answering machine. I'm not sure if the number I have for him is still good.

Perhaps I should PM him here! :gun: He's who pointed this BB out to me.

Good to see you around these parts. :gun: Excellent pictures, you should enter the Jeep of the month contest with some of these no matter what State you happen to be in.

Got your message, look forward to meeting up with you. Check the calendar here, Happening, Let's go Wheeling etc. The phone number you have is good. I usually try and make the informal Tower Shop. Look forward to meeting up with you. :cool1:

Hello everyone,, I'm Tom and I've been a member of the SFJC since about August of 05'. After the last meeting I educated myself on the cut, copy and paste issue and registered with jeeptalk. I'm one of those game wardens you guys probably don't like to see when wheeling. I was a Florida Marine Patrol Officer until the legislature decided to make one giant police conglomerate with the test subjects being game wardens from the old Game and Fish Commission and the officers in the grey and black uniforms of the FMP. The experiment is a failure but that's no surprise. I get a big truck , big boat and a green uniform to still patrol the ocean and intracoastal waterway with a few forays into the wooded areas of the state. It's still a great deal. I would post a pic of my jeep but it's still hanging with Ruben and the technicality of posting it is still tad bit beyond my computer illiterate capability. Cut me some slack I'm not a fancy FHP Trooper who gets a computer in his car. I have to write everything with a pen. Look forward to wheeling with everyone.

Jim, looks like a cool place to hangout sometimes! :ya:

Rollbar, dim dar pebbles be the last waterfall on Bad Medicine, near Florence Junction in AZ. A handfull of the trails in FJ rival Johnson Valley/Hammers. Fun stuff - but expect LOTS of body damage and LOTS of trail carnage.

Pg 2 of the link below has some cool pics of that run.

We did:

Upper Woodpecker
Upper Ajax
Bad Medicine
Highway To Hell (the fun meter was pegged)
