moving right along with my Y/J projects this week i designed and with the help of 1 of the fab guys we built a set of cast aluminum side steps .....
using 2.5" X 28" alum thick wall pipe and some 3.5 X 1/4" alum angle
strong as steel ..........light weight......no rust ...no corrosion .

i made the brace brackets alittle long so i can cut them down to the desired length i wanted them to be when i bolt them to the frame .

here are a few pics of the raw set i will post installed pics when i get them on .





sorry didnt get any weld shots on this project i forgot the camera .......

total vested in this so far a 12pak & 4 hours.
angle tested weight capacity 420 lbs. overall weight of the set 6.5 lbs.

got up this morn got the rear def work done and closed that back up..........and spent the rest of the morning getting my pipe side steps installed ....

here are a few pics ....i think they came out pretty good.

not to bad .....all i need is my radio and im done with it till i get the $$$ for a locker .

ready to go out and get it dirty soon ....................

ok guys ......as many of you know i have designed and made with the help of the fab guys at the shop many parts for my jeeps ....
now .......the guys are open to others that may have needs for custom made metal .....steel - alum. items ....at low mininal cost to you .

all items will be built to your specifications and measurements you want a custom made bumper ? winch plate ? spacers , roof racks ,anything you can think of or want these guys can make for you .

think about it ...why pay 4-500 dallors for that trail bumper when you can have your own design custom made these guys do some nice work .
