Last night as I was smoking a peace pipe with Admin and the subject of a new forum came up.

Wrenching House

We know that this forum might not get too much activity but up to now the only place designated to ask for Wrenching help is in the Happenings forum which is detailed in the explanation of the main page.

This forum will be strictly to ask for help or schedule when you will be working on your Jeep in the event anyone wants to stop by and help. Do not confuse this forum with the Tech Forum.

We were thinking of placing the forum in the Off Road Trips, Happenings & Land Issues Category. I'm creating a poll to see which of the 3 Categories you feel it should belong to. Please keep in mind that ultimately Mr. Admin will decide where it goes so it might not necessary reflect the outcome of the vote. I agree with him that it should belong in this Category because in a sense it is a "Happening". It will not confuse the Wrenching House with the Tech Category.

Would be nice to hear some feed back as to where and why the Wrenching House belongs.

I voted Technical Talk because you'll have to talk a bit about what are you going to be doing to the jeep and why you need help in that way you don't have to really make 2 post of the same(one talking about the technical aspec of the upgrade and a different one asking for help)

Good point but that in a sense it is technical talk if you need help in how to do something.

You can schedule when you want to do it in the Wrenching House.

Btw, I was thinking, do we even need this forum, I'm going to edit the poll.

I think also we need to keep this topic w/ no off topic discussion.

I also voted 'Tech Talk'.

If you put it there it would be easier to keep people on topic.

I voted happenings cause it's something that is gonna happen @ someones house on a specific date/time. It is not for Tech discussion etc. W/it being in the Happenings section it will not get confused w/builds etc.

I have to go with Happenings Section. Like rollbar stated it is a HAPPENING. No need to post twice since you can't schedule the "Happening" (Wrench Party) until AFTER you discuss and understand what you or someone else is going to do to your Jeep in the Tech Area  If you already know what you are needing or doing to your Jeep then you go ahead and just post the date in the Happenings Section. Then have the Party and make sure there is lots of :2thumup: it adds to the creativity of the work performed
