My JK took a small step forward this weekend towards the realm of modified jeeps thanks to JeepNWilly and Sergio
With their hard work my jeep is now sporting a Rough Country 2.5" BB, Rough Country sway bar quick disconnects and ShrockWorks Rock Sliders.

quick lift comparison
and finally...quick test run at corbett

Nice. Now for a front bumper to get rid of those tow hook that could bust & kill some one, they flex real easy.

C'mon you can't recognize me in that picture. I had to do a little modification to the Rock Sliders. It called for self tapping bolts in the rear mount point because there was no access for a nut. That was the case for the passenger side but after making the 21/32 holes on the passenger side with the supplied drill bit it wore out. Luckly for the drivers side since the bit was no good anymore there was some access holes where I could place a nut. So I brought out my welder and welded a strip of metal and a washer to the nut and on it went.
PS.. As always Sergio was a big help

looks pretty good ....did you let sergio fly it yet ?
Question : Was that the shifter you were weldin on ?? if so doin a 2.5 BB on that what was the need for the welding ? i never had to do any of that not even on the 2"BL. are the shifters on the JK that short to be affected that much ?

No welding needed at all for the BB. It was the simplest lift I have ever done. I just had to do a little welding to get the driver's side Shrockworks Rock Sliders installed.
See this pic I found in their install guide.
I had to creat another nut just like the one in the pic to do the same exact thing because the drill bit for the self tapping bolts wore out while installing one side.
