Mitsubishi manufactured the older style Jeep, I think CJ-3b? under license until 1998. Also Mahindra of India made them, they still make a pretty cool looking vehicle, mirrors a lot of the Jeep style. Mahindra

Lots of companies built jeeps under license. Hotchkiss-Jeep in France, Mahindra & Mahindra of India (still builds them), Bravo of Spain, and Mitsubishi of Japan, etc. all had or still have licenses to build pre-Chrysler jeeps.

The diesel Mitsu was still sold in Canada up until 98!

And that chart is wrong in a few of its years. Check out when the XJ started production for beginners.

The chart simply shows how jeep designs especially the grills has evolved as years gone by...
